How much do I have to donate to reserve a brick?
Outside of a 1983 Society membership, donations of $250 or more on May 4, 2021 will secure each donor a personalized, engraved brick while they are available.
Where will my donation go?
All donations will go to the LSMSA Foundation to support the school's ongoing needs.
When can I purchase my brick?
LSMSA’s first-ever Giving Day, May 4, 2021, is the only opportunity to secure a personalized engraved brick outside of a 1983 Society membership prior to or on that day. There is a limited quantity of bricks and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
I’m already a 1983 Society member. Do I have to make an additional donation to get a brick?
No, you don’t! As a special thank you for your generosity, we’re reserving a brick for each family in our 1983 Society before they are widely available on Giving Day. If your family would like to secure additional bricks, you are welcome to do so on Giving Day with a $250 donation per brick.
If my 1983 Society membership includes my company’s matching gift, am I still eligible to receive a brick?
Yes, you are! Find out if your company will match your gift.

I am a 1983 Society member but I haven’t received information on how to reserve my brick. What do I do?
Oh no! Let’s get this cleared up so we can reserve your family’s brick. Please contact Rebekah Maricelli with the LSMSA Foundation at [email protected]
I'd like to buy a brick, but I'm unclear on the process. If I donate $250 now, do I get it? Do I have to donate more than that now, or wait until Giving Day to donate $250?
Anyone who is in the 1983 Society with a donation of $1,983 or more is getting one brick per family before Giving Day. The remaining bricks will be available first-come, first-served on Giving Day with a $250 donation. So anyone who donates $250 or more on Giving Day will receive a brick on a first-come, first-served basis.
Where will these bricks be located?
The commemorative bricks will be installed around the fire pit outside of the new residence hall -- the perfect spot to leave your lasting legacy at LSMSA!
How many bricks will be available?
Less than 300 commemorative bricks will be installed around the fire pit outside of the new residence hall. Each 1983 Society family will receive one commemorative brick, so the remaining bricks will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on Giving Day -- May 4, 2021.
What can I have my brick engraved to say?
It’s up to you! Each brick can display up to three lines of text, and each line is limited to 16 characters, including spaces. Bricks may only display letters, numbers, periods, commas and dashes.
Add your class year or collegiate organization, leave a special message, congratulate a recent grad, celebrate a degree or accomplishment, honor a loved one, relive an unforgettable reunion, show your dedication to a favorite LSMSA faculty member or organization, or simply etch your name into the history of your alma mater!
What will my brick look like?
Brick graphics on this website serve as examples only. Actual bricks may vary in appearance to complement the school’s architectural design. The area around the firepit near the residence hall will be paved with the commemorative bricks in a pattern determined by LSMSA and its architects, and bricks will be installed as the building nears completion.
When will my brick be installed?
Bricks will be installed as the building nears completion and will be ready when students return to campus for the fall semester.
