Alumni Art Show to begin Oct. 5

Art work created by alumni of LSMSA will be on display Oct. 5-21 in the art gallery located in the Center for Performance and Technology.
The alumni art show is the first of its kind in the history of the school. The show aims to recognize alumni across generations, while crafting an informal chronology of the school’s visual arts program using pictures, storytelling and works of art.

The show will include a diverse selection of media, including paintings, pastels, fine craft, works on paper and video art. In total, 29 works from 17 artists will be on display.

A reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, in the CPT.

Artists include Chyenne Bertrand (’10), Dakota Bertrand (’94), Toni Carlone (’13), Misty Cole (’92), Anne-Louise Ewen (’94), John Goedtel (’11), Tucker Howard (’11), Sharon LaBorde (’95), David Lowe (’92), Deborah Mahnken (’86), Daniel McKernan (’99), Doris Mejia (’92), Jared Normand (’05), Amy Traylor (’94), John Waggener (’95), Nathaniel Wood (’90) and Liz Yerby (’07).
