Visit LSMSA

LSMSA wants to meet you!  Each fall, representatives from LSMSA travel throughout the state to visit with interested students and their families, answer their questions, and present what LSMSA has to offer. When available, parents of currently enrolled students and alumni living in the area are available to answer your questions from their first-hand experiences.

We are offering sessions in Lafayette and Baton Rouge this spring:
Baton Rouge Meeting - Saturday, April 27 at 2:00 pm
EBPRL Main Library, 7711 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge

Lafayette Meeting - Sunday, April 28 at 2:00 pm
ULL Student Union, 620 McKinley St., Lafayette

Exploration Days are an excellent opportunity to get a first-hand look at what LSMSA is all about. During these Open House events prospective students sit in on classes, while their parents hear from the school's administration. Parents and students tour the campus, hear from current LSMSA students, and have lunch in the dining hall. Exploration Days generally begin around 9:00 a.m. and conclude around 2:00 p.m. LSMSA will provide a letter for students to take to their schools confirming their attendance.

Who Should Attend: We encourage students who are currently in the eighth grade or higher to attend an Exploration Day. Students who are younger than eighth grade who are traveling with their older sibling may attend; however, they should accompany their parents to all parent activities.

If your schedule does not allow you to attend an Exploration Day, Saturday Tours offer an opportunity to see the campus and learn more about LSMSA, while visiting Natchitoches for one of our outstanding local events! Private/Semi-Private Weekday Tours allow families to visit our campus and meet with Enrollment Services Staff. Private tours are scheduled primarily for Mondays or Fridays and take about 2 hours. Upon request, we can also arrange for the prospective student to sit in on one or more classes while on campus for a tour. 

If possible, we recommend families attend an Exploration Day rather than scheduling a private tour, as more events are planned for those days. We do understand that not everyone's schedule will allow for them to attend those events and offer private tours as an alternative for those individuals.
