Jess Dhaliwal Prischmann ('97) receives prestigious award
Jess was recently awarded the Jack Anderson Prize for Scholastic Excellence by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  She received the award for having the top score in the nation on the Facial Plastic Surgery board exam.  Click here (page 16) to read an article on Jess in September/October issue of Facial Plastic Times.

Logan Leger ('08) continues to impress.
Logan was recently selected to compete in the global finals of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards in New York held November 17-19 2011. He is among 30 selected from thousands of student entrepreneurs worldwide. More information about the awards can be found at www.gsea.org.

Lauren Stuart ('04) has research published.
Lauren Stuart conducted independent research on the economics of traffic congestion and mobility of LSU. Her research was recently published in the Journal of Transportation Planning & Technology. The case study of LSU campus road closures included a survey about University student and staff commuting then projected the impact of a gated "car-free" zone. The application of economics principles to the engineering challenges of traffic flow yield insight about the effect of pricing on decision making, especially the cost of parking. Lauren's recommendations were to utilize parking fees to generate revenue that would fund the expansion of "alternate modes" such as bikes, buses and carpooling.
