Lauren Gossen, Class of 2009 This past summer, Lauren interned at the NASA Ames Robotics Academy on base in California. It was a 10 week internship where Lauren worked on the radiation mitigation subteam researching viable ways to mitigate radiation exposure of, and replacement options for, the electronics on board, other select components, and the Lunar Micro Rover that the Robotics Academy was developing.
Julie Colley Jones, Class of 1990 On January 12, 2009, Julie was sworn in as the first female District Attorney in the state of Louisiana. See her biography here.
Iqbal Akhtar, Class of 1999 Iqbal recently stopped by LSMSA as guest lecturer for Prem Gongaju's Religions of Asia class. Iqbal's spoke about the tradition and history of Islam. Read more....
Lynette Dykes Mejia, Class of 1990 "Father Patrice Hears Confession" is new a story in an anthology recently released by Misanthrope Press for which Lynette is the author. This story includes the first appearance of a character who serves an important role in another novel which is currently in progress. Find out more at Lynette's website.
