Amanda Farrier Mejia, Class of 2002 Receives NSF Fellowship


Amanda Farrier Mejia, LSMSA class of 2002, recently won a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship for her proposed research topic of "Improving Patient Safety through Medical Alert Management".

Amanda holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.  She currently studies there as a doctoral student in Economic Decision Analysis in the school of Industrial and Systems Engineering.  Amanda plans a career in health care research after graduation.

In addition to her studies, Amanda serves as president of the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE).  She recently represented the United States at IAESTE's 2010 international conference in Zurich, Switzerland.
