Brittany Boudreaux, Class of 2005, Receives Astronaut Scholarship

North Carolina State University senior Brittany Boudreaux has been awarded a $10,000 scholarship from the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. The scholarship was presented to Boudreaux by Apollo 16 astronaut Charlie Duke during a special ceremony held recently.  Boudreaux, of New Orleans, is a graduate of the Louisiana School of Science, Math and Arts in Nachitoches.  She is a senior at North Carolina State University and is completing a double major in civil engineering and applied mathematics.

After Hurricane Katrina, Boudreaux spend the summer of 2006 as an engineering aide at the Army Corps of Engineers in New Orleans.

Boudreaux is one of 17 students nationwide to receive this scholarship, which is awarded annually to students who show exceptional performance in the fields of science, engineering or mathematics.
