Class: Sophomore

May 2010

Well, it’s my last eagle eye of my Junior Year at LSMSA. I’ve got 4 finals left and then I’m done! I have a Spanish final at 2 today, and then I’m going home for the weekend. I am really looking forward to getting some rest and seeing my family, plus it will give me a great quiet place to catch up on some homework and studying. After finals are over, I get a whole 2 and a half months off to relax. I’ll be doing some traveling hopefully, and maybe even getting a job. We’ll see! Anyways, have a great summer everyone, I look forward to see y’all next year!

May 2010

So it’s May 4th, and I have 3 more days of regular classes, I am so excited! Next week I have 2 dead days, and then the rest of the week is finals. After that, there’s graduation, and I’m done! I can’t wait for summer; I’m so ready for the break. The next order of business is getting my roommate for next year, and trying to agree on which room to live in. Also, I am not looking forward to packing up all my stuff. It seems that throughout the semester, stuff has just piled up, there’s no telling what I’ll find once I start packing up! Well, that’s all for now, time to go get ready for finals!

April 2010

So I just got back from Spring Break, and it was awesome. It was nice to have a break from school and all the work. I got to spend time with family, travel, and even go see my roommate for a few days. It was very relaxing, I needed it! However I am glad to be back here with all my friends. I missed them! Now that Spring Break is over, I only have about 5 weeks of school left, so I’m really excited! And of those 5 weeks I only have 26 school days. Summer here I come!

March 2010

So it’s Tuesday March, 30, and Spring Break is almost here. I’ve been as LSMSA for 6 weeks straight, so I’m ready for a break! Teachers are really trying to get in as many grades as they can before break, so this week is probably going to be pretty stressful. Yet I know it will all pay off when I’m home waking up at noon, not having to worry about a thing. This is a short one, but have a good Spring Break everyone!

March 2010

So this week begins the last week of the grading period, and everybody is hurrying to get their grades in. Consequently, I have had so many tests! Luckily though, I’ve been prepared for all of them and I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. Our grades go in on Thursday and so far I’m doing well in all my classes. All that stands in between me and all A’s and B’s is one last programming test. Wish me luck!

January 2010

So it’s the first of the semester, I am just getting used to my new classes. My schedule this semester if pretty chill, except for the fact that I have all 8’oclocks! On the bright side, I get to finish class pretty early, and I have plenty of breaks. Furthermore, I only have one class on Tuesdays.

Another thing I’m pretty excited about is photography. Last semester I was in Black and White Photography, I loved it so much that I decided to sign up for independent study. Independent study is a program where students can study advanced courses at their own pace. This semester I am doing advanced Black and White Photography. Currently I am working on a set of portraits! Well that’s all for now, adios!

August 2009

Hey everybody! My name’s Drew Harlow, and I am a new Junior for the 2009-2010 school year. First off, let me applaud you for making the first step to coming here. For everyone who attends here, the first step is just plain curiosity, and by reading these blogs and looking at the site, you’re on your way! So far this year, I am loving LSMSA. The experience here is like no other high school experience. At my old school, it seemed like the emphasis was not on school at all. Our “education” was just a job for the teachers, and sadly, I felt as if many did not want to even be there. However at the Louisiana School, it is so refreshing to have teachers who really want you to succeed. Teachers who will go out of their way to make sure that you understand the material. Teachers who actually care!

Another unique thing about this school is the course offerings. This year I am knocking out a lot of my required credits, so that next year I can take whatever I want. Yet even still, some of the classes I get to take this year are truly remarkable. For instance, I am a total computer nerd, and to have a class such as Computer Hardware and Networking is really awesome. Aside from computers, I really love the humanities. At my old school, it seemed as far as humanities went, there was just plain English and History. Furthermore, the classes were not exactly “riveting.” Yet here, I have the opportunity to take New South, Gender Studies, and even Military History. Well that’s all for now, time to finish that lab report.

Adios!
