Veterans Day Assembly
In November of every year, LSMSA students gather in Treen Auditorium to honor America's veterans.  An invitation is issued to veterans in the Natchitoches area and to the local community to join the students in this annual assembly.  A guest speaker is invited to remind students of the cost of freedom and the sacrifice of the men and women who serve their country in the armed services.  As the color guard marches in every year, the students focus on the parade of veterans as they walk solemnly to the front of the auditorium.  They see men and women who have served in World War II, the Korean war, the Viet Nam war, Desert Storm, and the current conflict in Afghanistan and Iraq.  They see some of their own teachers and administrators walking as proud veterans, and they begin to develop an understanding of the debt of gratitude all citizens of the USA owe to veterans.
